Tsitsi Marote is a software/analytics engineer.  She is passionate about research and the application of technology to solving societal problems. 

 

In 2020 Tsitsi co-founded the multiple award-winning Guardian Health Platform www.guardianhealth.io.  Accolades include ITWeb Business Intelligence Hackathon, Capitec Life 2.0 Hackathon, NEMISA data science hackathon, Ayoba MTN hackathon, best youth app and the best health app at the MTN App Awards.

 

Tsitsi was part of the Top 15 young Geeks of South Africa and one of the Rising Stars of South Africa, judged by Brainstorm Magazine. 

 

She studied at the University of the Witwatersrand where she obtained her BSc in Computational and Applied Mathematics and a BSc(Hons) in Big Data Analytics.
