Director, Renier Lemmens
Renier is Visiting Professor of FinTech and Innovation at The London Institute of Banking & Finance. He has held leadership roles in a variety of financial institutions in Europe and the USA including GE Capital, Barclays and PayPal. He has also held a number of non-executive and advisory positions in FinTech start-ups. He is currently Chairman of the Board at Divido and TransferGo and is a non-executive director at Arion banki.
Associate Director, Helene Panzarino
Originally a commercial banker, Helene is an experienced FinTech Programme Director, Exited Entrepreneur and educator. She is currently MD of the global Rainmaking Colab FinTech Programme; Lead Fellow (and creator) on a world-first FinTech Pathway in a Masters in Tech Entrepreneurship Degree for UCL; and co-creator and lead delivery partner on the Imperial College FinTech Executive Education Programme. She is a regular judge for FinTech awards; speaker for the FinTech community; and was one of Computer Weekly’s Top 100 Women in Tech in 2018.
Associate Director, Rob Thurner
Rob is a digital marketing strategist and trainer specialising in digital transformation, digital banking, customer journey mapping, website and app user experience, ecommerce and mobile marketing. He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Burn the Sky – a digital strategy and training business that works with major financial services clients including: American Express, Aviva, AXA, Barclays, Deutsche Bank, Dubai Islamic Bank, HSBC, Lloyds Banking Group, Qatar National Bank and Santander. Rob is a lead facilitator with the Google Digital Academy and author of three best practice books on Mobile Strategy and Mobile Commerce.
Associate Director, Richard Johnson
Richard is a specialist in the convergence of digital technology and financial services. Richard started his career with 20 years at NatWest and Royal Bank of Scotland, working mainly in retail banking in front-line, advisory, strategic and senior line-management roles. He then became the Strategy Director of Monitise – a technology start-up specialising in mobile banking and payments software. Richard now advises businesses on their FinTech strategies, as well as writing industry research and delivering executive education on FinTech.
Associate Director, Dr Raoul-Gabriel Urma
Raoul is the CEO and Founder of Cambridge Spark, a leading learning organisation for data scientists and developers. He is author of several programming books and an international speaker, covering artificial intelligence, business, Java and Python. Raoul has advised and worked for several organisations on large-scale software engineering projects: Google, Oracle, eBay and Goldman Sachs. In 2017, he was nominated an Oracle Java Champion.
